iPad Pro iPad Pro 11 isn’t able to receive airdrops but can send them

I just got a new 2021 11 inch iPad Pro and I can’t seem to airdrop items to it. I’m Able to send airdrops from the iPad just not the other way around. Ive called apple support and the only suggestion that they have for me to try to correct the situation on it is to find a computer and then reinstall the ipad OS through iTunes, which I don’t have the ability to do.

Has anyone else experienced an issue like this before?

Have you checked the settings for AirDrop to ensure that receiving is on with the appropriate choice (Contacts Only or Everyone)?

Yeah have even gone as far as switching everything to off restarting the iPad then turning them back on then restarting the iPad.

Do you have a 3rd device, to confirm that the issue isn't the iPad not receiving but the other device not sending? No way to tell with only two devices.

Yeag Ive tried with a second iPhone all working there. I’ve decided that the best thing for me to do is just return this iPad for the larger 12.9
