I think the iPad Pro 11” has been out since the end of November last year, when will we see full screen in PUBG? Epic games is based in NC, there about 30 minutes away from me, should I get a protest group together and stand out front?

If this was a PC I could just edit a file in txt add in the target resolution desired and done..

With the iPad and iOS I know apple will never take our training wheels off, so we could never do such a thing.

But still, I could add the supported resolution in a matter of seconds by myself, why does it take EPIC games months, and still nothing?

We are already through 1/4th of the iPads life cycle before a new one comes out. I’m confused.

I know this has been asked before, but still these black bars have gotta go. I play this game pretty competitively a few hours a day.

I feel like the 12.9 has full screen, and they forgot about the 11” model.

I thought it could be changed in settings. I could have sworn I saw a setting for a screen without a home button (but no notch). Figured it referred to the new iPad Pro screens.

There is absolutely no excuse for such poor optimizations with games, and especially with the new iPad Pro. We should have full resolution support on all games. And people say it is not apples fault, obviously it is up to the developer of the Game to add this support. Well it’s apples fault for not checking this themselves and dispatching a simple email to game developers to make sure this updates happen.

If a new resolution in monitor standards came out and it was only half as popular as an iPad Pro 3rd gen, you best believe all mainstream games would adopt and update support for this new resolution.

Thanks for buying the new iPad Pro, you may experience black bars on the most popular games for up to 6 months, as we will never update it, nor check to make sure game developers are going to add our proprietary resolutions.

It has an option for rounded corners with black bars.
[doublepost=1549757976][/doublepost]I measured the screen in PUBG. I have 1.5” inches in black bars.

Instead of gaming on a 11” screen. I have 9.5” inches corner to corner that is visible.

No one cares if PUBG provides a 9.5” picture on there newly purchased 11” iPad Pro?

This explains why it hasn’t been updated.

I didn’t know that. Dang. Yeah, I don’t have an iPad Pro, so I just know what I saw in settings. That doesn’t sound like they’ve properly addressed those screen dimensions. That sucks. I’d have a problem with that too, I’m sure.

You have to email the developer and push for it to be optimized. Honestly, I'm frustrated that Apple does not exert a sort of mandatory expectation that their devices be supported by the developers... though I'm sure there's some sort of reason.

This isn't anything surprising. Other major games such as Hearthstone haven't been updated for the IPP yet either. It took Blizzard until the following July to update the game to the new resolution after the iPhone X was released.

Yea it is ridiculous. A 9.5” screen in fortnite, and PUBG and every other game too. And they will not fix it for some reason.. I honestly do not see them updating this either, it is a easy fix and it’s already been 3 months after the new iPads have come out.

Apple, and these game developers really have there head up there ass.

Apple nowadays has too many ideas, and is a bit of a scatterbrain. It is evident in their iOS gaming. They seemed like they were really getting their act together with MFi controllers (which I bought two of), Metal graphics API etc..

But they never fully develop one idea before moving onto another. It seems like there is nothing they care more about than selling the next bit of tech. Now its. Augmented reality, which again seems half cooked and is a complete gimmick.

the iPad Pro is not optimized in any games. They could do so much better, instead it’s CPU power, and GPU is wasted.

If I were in charge or had some kind of say, I’d make sure the top 100 games were optimized for the native resolution, then I’d look in to getting a option for 120fps to work with lower graphics fidelity on this beautiful 120Hz display we have.

Then, I’d get some sort of developer options menu in the making.

Apple needs to do better! Let’s uncork the iPad, it is only overkill, because our game developers are underachievers. It is faster than a 4790K i7 desktop processor. If anyone knows how impressive that is, knows what a 4790K is.. And a little tablet is doing this lol.
