Hello forum
I had the larger iPad Pro for around 2 month now and compared to my older iPad Air 2 and iPad 3 and 4 it really drain the battery fast compared to other ones.
I don’t really have an explanation for this. Primary, it is when the Bluetooth is on or if the iPad is under load, like playing games etc. I know that it uses more battery when it is under load, but compared to the iPad Air 2, it drains way faster.

Also it charges extremely slow, even with a USB C cable and 27watt MacBook Pro charger. I remember my old iPad 3 and 4 with same or larger battery capacity charged faster than this one with a slower charger. Do anyone has any explanation for this or same experiences?

I’ve noticed the same thing with mine, and it’s not even when it’s under heavy load. If I’m using it while it’s charging, even for simple things like web browsing or watching Hulu, it charges very slowly. I’m guessing it’s because the backlight on the larger screen consumes a lot more power than other devices, but it is a bit disappointing.

Mine has been great since I bought it. Out of the blues these last two weeks charging has become really slow even while turning cell data off, wifi off and putting it in airplane mode after. Many times after hours of charging it would still either sit at 93-95 and other times it would finally charge up to 100%. I have the more expensive faster charging iPad charger too which I paid extra for. Battery drain is a little more as well. I pretty much have no apps on that iPad pro too. A few basic ones. No games,Facebook or any of that other stuff installed.

Mine is the regular iPad Pro and not the 12.9" model

My iPad Pro 1st gen charged slowly and even drained on the provided power supply until I got the 29w charger, but my 12.9 2nd gen is amazing with battery life. Drains noticeably slower than my 10.5.

I bought the 29W charger and it worked great for what seemed like 2 months or so but recently things seem to have changed
