iPad Pro iPad Pro 12.9 Gen1 – Battery Life Wear?

I've been to the Apple Store with concern that my iPad Pro 12.9 has TERRIBLE battery life. I have had and still have many Apple devices, some of which are iPads, but I've always loved the battery life on them. However, I have seen an extremely significant difference in usage time since the first 10-or-so months I've first used it for (avg. around 12-15hrs of heavy usage per full charge) until now (4-6hrs of heavy usage per full charge).

My man at my Apple Store said that an "accidental drop, completely shattering my screen, since I'm covered under Apple Care" would get me a brand spanking new replacement device, and I'm seriously considering it.

Since update to 10.3.3 it is really bad. 6-7h at MAX.
I don't know if it is software related or battery related. I hope not hardware related. I have no warranty.
Anyway, I am starting to fast charge the device, so it does not bother me (too much)

hm...I see... They ran diagnostics (like they always do to test battery performance) at the Apple Store and mine unfortunately passed with flying colors.

Mine has generally been quite good as long as the screen isn't up around full brightness - that will absolutely CHEW through it

If you’re on iOS 10.3.3 or iOS 11, the battery life sucks.

Odd... I'm on 10.3.3 with almost full brightness but i haven't noticed any (additional) reduction in battery life.
Then again, I always averaged around 6-7 hours with heavy Pencil use...

I can concur with this on iOS 11 beta - it seems to usually be not that great, and yet it will occasionally be what I remember as normal
