Hi everyone,

I have received my new M1 Ipad Pro 12.9 512 gb and i can’t make center stage work.

I tried with facetime and i checked that center stage is enabled in the settings. Nothing works, I tried to call myself via facetime and the camera stays fixed without doing anything.
I specify that I am under ios 14.7 Beta. Does anyone else have this problem?

I saw a post somewhere that some of the new features don't work in 14.7 beta yet, they went back to like 14.5.1 and got the features back.

Works on 14.6 RC, but that doesn’t help you
Thank you anyway for answering! I just hope it's a software issue and not a hardware issue.

Hope this is just the cause of the problem, thank you

Like others have said, it isn't in the beta yet. So you need to downgrade or wait and hope it is in the next beta.

It doesn't make sense what you're saying.
We are in build 1 yes but it’s IOS 14 which is not a new version and it’s now quite mature.

I've been in beta for years, Apple betas are pretty stable and in general they often do a new beta before a new product is released. If it doesn't work, then I will wait for the next one, for me the center stage feature is not that important for me to make a downgrade.

If you read my previous answers correctly I especially wanted to be sure that it is a bug of the beta version and not a hardware problem.

Apple doesn’t include features of new products until at least the first beta after said product has released to the public. It’s part of their whole secrecy paradigm. The software to support the new features ship first on the new devices, then get rolled into subsequent beta and production updates.

But 14.7 dropped same time as 14.6 RC, which both dropped weeks after the Apple event that showed everyone all the new features 😂

Until today, no one outside of Apple needed this code. Demoing a feature is different from shipping it.

Ima say you obviously havent done many. Even in iOS 14, 90% of all betas the MagSafe animation stopped working. 80% of the time mail doesn’t work properly. Camera isn’t working properly 70% of the time and numerous other features stopped working within the first 2 builds. If you’re on a beta build and something doesn’t work it’s 9/10 software

Yeah, the final production build will be much more stable.

Typically LOL

Yes as you said so well a lot of functionality did not work well but was present.

We are talking about a novelty of the new Ipad Pro which simply does not work at all, it is different.

And maybe we don't have the same betas because I didn't have all these errors that you mention.🤣
Some small bugs yes but not all of that.
But it does not matter, what matters is that you have to participate👍

Just upgraded to 14.6 RC2 and there’s no toggle for Center stage on any of the video apps - FaceTime, zoom, etc. I guess ill be downgraded.
