Hi everyone, I encounter an odd display issue on my iPad Pro.
It have an abnormal macula on the side of the screen like the attachment. The problem occurs after updating to iPadOS 16. It cannot be solved by updating to iPadOS16.1.1. Sometimes it will appear or disappear randomly.
I never encounter this issue when running iPadOS 15. The other hardware have no problem after checking by Apple Store's Genius Bar. I suspect the new OS leads to this problem.
Does anyone encounter this issue or know how to fix it? thanks.

Looks like some sort of square.
Overheating/burning out miniLED cluster?

I think it is possible, but I did the same thing when it was iPadOS15 and it was fine.
I also notice there are other people encountering the same problem at other forum, and the place of maculas are nearly the same.
Is it possible some software bugs lead to this hardware problem? Or just the iPad has some quality issues? I have bought it 18 months.

I had that same issue last year. I had my 12.9 M1 for 3 months and I got two of those marks. Apple replaced it with a brand new one. No problem since. I would take it to an Apple Store if I were you and let them diagnose it.

Maybe it´s just typical for Mini LED.
It is not. As per my reply to the Op, when I received the replacement from Apple, there were no more screen issues or any other issues. I really like the Mini LED iPad Pro 12.9 M1. Great screen and computer.
