I have a 3 year old iPad pro (12.9inch) thats stuck on the Apple Logo. (Family member device, not mine, so not sure if M1 or something earlier).

When it runs flat, if you plug it in, it gets stuck right on the apple logo. You can reboot the device with (Vol Up, Vol Down, Hold Power till screen black) - gets stuck again.

Have put device in DFU mode, computer cannot see the iPad (Cable works on other devices). At least I assume its DFU mode, the blank screen is all I can go off there.

Can't see to turn the device just off, holding the power does nothing.

Can't put into recovery mode (Vol Up, Vol Down, Hold Power till screen shows something), always goes straight back to Apple Logo.

Anything else I can try? Have let it just sit and make sure it's not just doing an update or anything.

Have you tried connecting it to a PC and installing 3uTools ? See if it installs the drivers required for DFU mode and detects it? Then it is possible to Restore/flash firmware.

Regarding cables, Apple devices LITERALLY HATE Type-C to Type-C 2.0, 3.2, 4.0 cables on Windows.

The only cables that work are USB-A to Type-C 2.0 outdated cables. That's how I got my iPad Pro to detect and flash firmware.

If it behaves this way after you’ve kept it plugged in for 5 to 10 minutes, in all likelihood the battery has failed.
The only way to find out for sure would be to take it to a Genius Bar at the Apple Store. They will diagnose the problem for free and give you a quote for repair.

I don’t own a PC, I have a MacBook Pro. I’ve tried getting it into DFU mode plugged into the MacBook with a data cable(I know the cable is good because my other iPad and iPhone connect to MacBook with no problem) with no success. The MacBook will not recognize the iPad. It’s not in a boot loop, its just a constant display of the apple logo.
