How would you be able to hold it?
I guess this would be more a like a desktop device than something you hold. Having said that let's be real. How much more would this weight? It could be only slightly heavier than the original 12.9 (my guess is it could be the same weight and size as the surface book 15 clipboard, that is around 800gr (around 1.75 pounds). In the hand, that large tablet thing feels lighter than it has any right to be...

I don’t think it would be such an issue to hold it but yes it would be mostly on the lap or docked to the keyboard (desktop mode). It would be really great to have a bigger canvas as well for creatives.

A 15” iPad would be interesting and I could see a lot of potential use cases. But without the right optimized apps or an OS that efficiently utilizes screen space then it would just be an even bigger screen still running a phone OS.

Couple days ago I was using my 11” iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard while waiting on the tire shop, having my car’s old tires replaced.
First time working with the combo on public place ever since I got it back in July, in this pandemic era.
I am now convinced that the 11” is the perfect screen for mobile usage. While the 12,9” is the maximum (personally would not feel great on my lap with the Magic Keyboard, I would assume).

A 15” surely more for a desktop work. Like the Microsoft Surface Studio perhaps.
So while I agree a 15” iPad Pro would be interesting, but I would prefer to see it in form of a dedicated desktop device with buit-in or additional foot / stand. This will be awesome for professional desktop artist.

I would like to see a 12 inch next refresh, and maybe a 14 or 15 for the larger size, taking the pros more as laptops and leaving the air as the super light portable tablet device.

I would also like to see glass backs on the devices too... MagSafe magic keyboard maybe, get rid of the smart connector on the back.

Maybe increase the pros in size to 12" and 14" as further differentiation to the new Air. A 12" would still be pretty manageable, it would almost fit in the footprint of the iPad 2 and of course be much thinner and lighter. The 14" wouldn't be any larger than the first two generations of 12.9" iPad Pro.

Speaking for myself here, I would not buy an iPad which is larger than 11”. For my purposes, it would defeat the very purpose of my owning and using an iPad.

Maybe you’re kidding but that’s absolutely a dream machine I’ve been waiting for.
Agree. We know it can be done - CNNs John King uses similar on the “Magic Wall.” To me, Apple wants to call something a “Pro” machine, they need to step it up 10 fold. Marginal incremental features shouldn’t define a pro model.

I know this is an unpopular opinion but having a pro phone, to me, is a laughable farce. It invalidates the use of pro anywhere else.

pro for apple means just "premium" and "higher specced" not "professional", and what's pro/premium changes with time and based on marketing needs.... now of course they won't say it like this, and so many people will think that pro means professional, which is generally not the case other than for their desktop machines

I would love a 15” “Air.” I don’t need Pro features. I just want the size and would like to bring down the price if possible.

Of course, though, those who want the latest and greatest will also pay most for it. I just don’t have any more kidneys to sell for Apple products anymore...

A 15” iPad would be great. It will make using sidecar so much better by extending the 12” screen of my MacBook.

. . . the iPad Pro needs a “Max” Screen-size like 15’’ or so. . .
Wow, that seems awfully large . . .

However, thinking about it, someone who is used to carrying around a 15" or 16" laptop would find this comfortable. It would only lack the keyboard and with Apple continuing to blur the differences between iOS and MacOS devices, it might be a logical step for them to take. If it had a keyboard that could be attached easily, which it surely would just as the current iPad Pro has the magic keyboard, then you could have a 15" device that is either solely touch-screen, or a 15" laptop that has both.

And so my conclusion is that something like this is inevitable.

That would be way too big for most people. Not to mention it'll be even easier to bend and the price tag might be at$1500 starting, which would turn off alot of people. Might as well just ask for a laptop that can double as a tablet.
