Sorry if that has been discussed before, but are there any reliable infos what the fastest charging rate for the 2018 iPad Pro is? Is the 18W charger thats included all that it supports or does it take e.g. 30W via a third party charger?

There's some good threads already and some excellent discussion as well on the topic. Some very good detailed posts by @WesEdit as well recently.
Anyway, I believe the 2017 Pros could charge upwards of 30W (don't recall which power delivery profile), but for the 2018's it seems that they can charge upwards of 45W using 15V @ 3A. Though in practice it seems the most they pull is in the high 30's. Of course you'll need a USB-C charger that supports 15V PD profile.
