iPad Pro 2018 + Screen Protector?

Can anyone do me a favor and possible put a piece of tempered glass or glass on top of the Face ID module and let me know if it works? I've heard of issues of where it says it is covered but tempered glass is fairly transparent and I would be surprised of how sensitive it is. Works fine on my iPhone Xs Max, but others say it has issues.
