I’ve had my iPad Pro since mid 2018 and been quite pleased (it does what i need). However a month ago having used a variety of peripherals HDD, Projector, hub over the last year, it suddenly stopped accepting charge. I normally charge using the port on the keypad, but even that stopped working too. Anyway the charge ran down and I took it into the local Mac Centre (I’m currently working in Colombia and there are no Apple Stores), they analysed it, said there was a problem and took it into the back and an hour later returned it with 20% charge. They would not tell me exactly what was wrong, but said if it happens again, it will need to be returned to the US and i would have to meet shipping and repair costs, which they estimate as $1600US - more than the original purchase price. Since then I have not used the USB-C port and charged via the keyboard port.

My question is - has anyone else experienced the ‘no charge’ issue?

BTW I was/am using the original supplied charger, but when the fault occurred I tried sever other with no success.

Cheers

My 2019 iPad Pro (running beta) wouldn’t charge one day recently, it just took a reboot to solve.

I have had the same issue with my iPP 11" from 2018! I think one of the updates might have semi-bricked it. I can now only charge it using a power bank, which is slightly annoying as I first have to charge the power bank and afterwards the iPP... I am hoping that the new iPadOS update will fix it, as it is clearly a software issue.
