iPad Pro iPad Pro 2020 11” with the extras

I had a 2020 MBA i7 and really liked it. I was in need of a new iPad to upgrade my aging Mini 4. I took delivery of the 2020 11” Pro 256GB a few days back and wow am I impressed. Especially after I picked up the magic keyboard and Pencil 2 for it. So impressed I sent my MBA packing back to Costco, luckily I had a 90 day return window. With all the extras I saved over $200 for the iPad and got Apple Care +. Apple Care + is a good option for $129 and it even covers the keyboard and pencil as well.

The keyboard is small given its the 11” but I am typing on it now with no problems. The size reminds me of the old 11” MBA. The trackpad is very good, very accurate. I like the gesture option to touch to click vs clicking the pad.

My GB5 scores on the iPad are 1100’s and 4,600’s compared to my MBA i7 1200’s and 3600’s. With Apple silicone coming on the Macs I will just use this ARM iPad for a long time I hope, I don’t see the need to have a Apple laptop and the iPad Pro. It actually feels like a laptop with this keyboard. Well it least meets all my needs for a laptop version. I am just using Office apps and video conferencing, Very happy🤩. This is a splendid machine.

Congrats! Yes, they're a great combo. Do you have thoughts about putting a skin on the iPP and/or the MK? There's a couple good threads about skins with lots of recommendations and experiences when you're ready to think about it.

Skin (Dbrand or Similar) with iPad Pro Magic Keyboard?

Hi, I have an iPad Pro with the new Magic Keyboard. I love it. I was considering getting a Dbrand skin for the back of my iPad Pro. Does anyone have a back skin on their iPad Pro with their new magic keyboard? I want to make sure it still works good. Thanks

Thank you for the link those do look good. I can see the reason to have a skin using the MK. I first ordered the UAG case which I really liked, had one on my mini 4 for a few years. But after getting the MK and loving it, it seemed to much to switch them back and forth. I was more worried about the constant pressure putting it in and out of the UAG case.

The skin seems like a great alternative to just being naked. Thank you again.

Yeah my 2020 11” iPad Pro + BT Keyboard have become my main personal laptop, as I have a work laptop which I use solely for work related things, everything else is being done on my iPP. 😄
