There are different opinions concerning PWM flickering on the 2020 iPad Pro. Notebookcheck says „yes“, while „Laptopmedia“ sais no. What is true?

No flickering, similar to an LCD panel.

I had to send my 2020 back and keep using my later 2019 as there WAS flickering under 50% brightness.

Had the opportunity to test the iPad Pro 11-inch (2020) for a while – and the display irritated my eyes. Have to do some more testing.

No, could be on LCD as well. The screens on older iPads and LCD-based iPhones didn't have PWM flickering, though, afaik. However, at 1316 Hz, the frequency is high enough that fewer people should be affected.

The 2021 model seems to be without flickering. Had to sent back my 2020 iPad Pro as it irritated my eyes.
