Hi,

It's two times now that my iPad is not charging.

First it happened when I connected it to my iMac with a thunderbollt 3 wire I have.
I have used this wire for my 2020 iPad almost a year without problem.

After connecting the cable two or three times, with the ipad unlocked, it didn't work, so I switched off the iPad and with the iPad switched off, I connected it to the wire, the ipad restarted and begun to charge.

This morning It happened the same but with its cable and the official apple charger.

Any ideas.
Anyone is experiencing the same issues?

What do you think? should I contact apple and return it?

Same here to my 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 256GB WIFI version, you just simply restart your iPad and the problem should be fixed temporary.

Battery charging working well with the new magic keyboard (cable plug at magic keyboard side way), 100% not working if plug the cable at iPad when attached on magic keyboard.

You should return your iPad if any concerns.

Not really sure but I guess it's a software problem.
If it happens again I will contact Apple.
I still have time to do it.

I am having the same issue. I put the iPad on the charger last night and this morning was at 24%. Thinking I must of not connected it right, reconnected it. Checked it 3 hours later and its at 24%. Checked the battery usage and its showing it was connected to the charger but did not charge.

Ill be contacting Apple today.

Switch it off and with the iPad switched off, plug in the charger

Having a similar issue with my 2021 12.9, it charges, but charges extremely slow. Yesterday I plugged it in while I was using it and it only charged 1% every 5 minutes or so, I just figured the game I was playing was draining it as fast as it was charging. But then last night I put it on the charger at 20%, 5 hours later it had it only charged to 80%. Both of the chargers are ones I had used with my 2018 without a problem.

I just started to have this same problem. Has anyone figured out what is causing it or how to fix it?

I had this problem once with my IPP a couple of months ago. I shut it down completely and turned it back on and after that it has charged correctly since then.

I have been having this problem with 3 of our iPads. My iPad Air pro 12.9 stopped charging using usb c to usb c cables. I switched cords and that worked for about a week. Then no more. I have been able to charge it slowly with with a usb-a to usb-c cable.
My kids brand new iPads stopped charging as well. I had to switch out cords. Brand new apple usb c to usb c cords stopped working. Ordered generic cables off of amazon and they all worked.

This exact same thing happened to me on my 12.9in 2018 iPP a few weeks ago. It had become a little big for me, so I traded it in toward an 11in M1 iPP. Much better. The 11in is the perfect form factor for my use case. Very pleased.
