Hello everyone! Like most of us i've received my new 11" iPad Pro yesterday and already played around with it as usual, no complaints so far and the screen is as expected brilliant.
I've encountered a Bug(?) in iPadOS as there does not seem to be the option to enable RAW/ProRes recording in settings (Camera -> Formats), only the option to switch between High Efficiency and Most Compatible are available. Did Apple mention this will be available later?

Not that i need it but rather curious :D

I’ve been trying to turn that on as well. It’s listed in the Apple promotion but unlike my phone I cant seem to find the toggle.

It's restricted to only 1080P 30fps on the 256 GB models, could that be the issue you're running into?

Who in the Sam Hill of podunk lack of brain cells is using an iPad for ProRes or RAW Recordings? Buy a real camera.

I got it working. You need to download Final Cut Pro. The camera within the app gives you the option to use ProRes at several frame rates.

Nope doesn't seem to be dependent on the model. My own 1TB 11" is missing it, my colleagues 256GB 13" as well.

Exactly. I will not use it anyway but i find it strange that they mention it at multiple places but it is not available.

Well this is interesting! If that is the way they intend it to be used then it is confusing if you compare it to an iPhone :)

I suspect this is a way to push adaptation of Final Cut for iPad. I was able to shoot ProRes log footage using this method.

Suspect it's like the M2 iPad Pro 11" - to use ProRes you'll need an app to be able to film in it.

I do also wonder what's different this time around as the 1080p/30FPS limitation only applied to the 128GB variant so was surprised to see it start with the 256GB version this time around.
