Hi

I’ve just got the iPad Pro 2018 12.9 and having issues with Bluetooth keyboards failing to stay connected.

I first got the “keys to go” Logitech and it would connect but when I disconnected it it would fail to reconnect. I “forgot about device” in Bluetooth menu but then the keyboard (when in pairing mode) wouldn’t even display it as an available device.

It’s odd tho as my iPhone and iPad Air did show it as available so only the Pro wasn’t picking it up.

I sent it back thinking it wasn’t compatible and replaced it with a folio case (third party) specifically for this model with Bluetooth 3.0 and I’m having the exact same issue!! My software is up to date.

The only way to reconnect the keyboard is to restart the iPad Pro and then it connects no problem.

Help!! It’s very annoying having to restart the iPad every time I wish to use the keyboard

The issue sounds as if it’s specific to that iPad. Try to erase it and set it up from scratch without applying a backup. The see if Bluetooth works as expected. Best success!

Will try that now thank you very much

Edit UPDATE - I erased iPad set up as new device, same issue.

Make a service appointment with Apple next as the issue persists on a fresh OS.
