I heard you couldn't download 4K movies. I also heard 4K didn't even stream to the iPad pros.

How sure are you that they are 4K - others have said when they tried, it instead downloaded 1080p with HDR.

All my 4k moves show 4k downloaded and play perfectly with a great picture on my iPad Pro.

What is the file size? I am fairly certain what you are seeing is 1080p with HDR downloaded. 4K has been restricted to streaming only.

You can't download HDR - only the 1080p version.

It appears you can according to the Apple Support website.

Apple Support said:
iPhone 8 and newer, iPad Pro (2017), and Apple TV 4K can play HDR10 and Dolby Vision content.

Apple Support said:
You can download a local copy of an HD movie to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC, and you might be able to download HDR and Dolby Vision versions to your iOS devices, but you can't download a 4K version.

This attachment says nothing about not being able to download 4k movies onto an iPad Pro. I'll say this again I have downloaded 4k movies as other movies I download which are not 4k show HD.
File size of downloads does not show on my iPad Pro but 4k takes a lot longer to download than HD.
I'm now downloading American Sniper 4k onto my iPhone 6s plus and it's as slow as my iPad Pro was.

You said HDR, not 4K. Apple files can be HDR without 4K.
