I want to use it for university, to watch Netflix, play some games and I think that it is not enough if I buy a iPad Pro 64GB and I download some games for example, because there are so heavys and in a future maybe I need more storage to download some apps or games.

I use iCloud for documents or photos.

I agree with others on 256 GB. On an iPad that would be used for school or replacing a laptop, most would easily use 64 GB.

Depending on your use, 64GB is perfectly survivable. Used a 64GB iPad 4 for 5 year, replaced it with a 64GB iPP. I don’t store much in the way of video, but can fit games on no problem. If price isn’t a concern, by all means get the 256 for insurance, but my entire iPad experience has been 64 and I’ve never regretted my purchases. Enjoy either way, current iPPs are amazing!

Really depends on how you use it and if you are the type that has to have everything you own on it at the same time.

My iPad Pro 10.5 I got the 256gb version which I thought was overkill even at the time. Rarely did I even approach 80gb and that was when downloading a ton of stuff for trips. So decided for my 11 pro to just stick with 64gb and have been happy with the $150 savings.

Now I have a iPad Pro since last Saturday and I am testing if I download so much Netflix and some games that I don’t use usually, how much storage I am using. And now it’s 34GB out of 64GB

I prefer to have all my documents in iCloud.

Do you use it for playing games or download movies from Netflix?

As you just stated... the future. The idea of getting the 256gb of storage you won’t be handicapped by micro managing you’re storage.

I initially went with the 64gb, but after a day or two... I realize that the safer bet is the 256gb. However, my use is different from yours. I tend to download movies and tv shows for offline use. And I don’t have to worry about being limited in storage.

I do play games, but typically go in phases. That is I’m not playing more than one or two of the large games at a time. So don’t need to have them all downloaded at the same time. iOS 12 and now improved with iOS 13 make it super simple to offload. As far as movies/shows I’ll download a bunch when I go on trips, but again don’t feel the need to keep stuff with me all the time.

Also one thing to note... I typically get a new iPad each time one comes out (And hand down my old one to family). So if my needs do change it is pretty easy for me to change if needed. That is I don’t buy one thinking I’m going to keep it for 2-3 years (like I do with my iPhone or now even longer with my Macs). Not only did I use to get high end storage but also cellular. I stopped getting cellular when my needs changed and found using my phone hot spot was good enough.

I picked up my pro last week and got the 64. All my stuff is on my phone and it is mostly for work a few apps, but documents edits and such is the main reason for it.

I have 64gb version of the iPad Pro 2018 12.9. I do wish I got the 256gb version. I have about 27gb free, but it’s always nice to have that extra storage. Theres no way for me to expand the storage now unless I buy a brand new iPad Pro. So I would say buy the 256gb.

Purchased a 256 gb 11 inch pro for school about a month ago. I thought maybe I didn’t need as much space as I purchased. Then I really started using it and I downloaded GoodNotes which is where I have started keeping my classes organized. I’m glad I got the 256. My last ipad was a mini3 64gb and I had it forever, never used more than 20 go. I’m already at 22 on this iPad, because I use it for more than entertainment on flights. Best of luck with school!
