Hey gang, my wifes iPad Pro 9.7 will download 15.1, it will go to "verifying" update and will not go any further.
Its a 256g variant, and has most of the storage available. I've tried deleting the download, turning it off and back on and downloading it again but nothing works.
Anyone have any insight or suggestions? Thanks

While installing it stays on this. It's greyed out and no progress bar. And never goes any further.

I’m not sure what is causing it but do you have a computer? If you do try plugging it in nd updating through iTunes or finder depending on which computer you have.

I just tried connecting it to a Windows laptop with iTunes.
It only showed an option for restore or set up as new iPad.
I never found an option through iTunes to check for update for the iPad.
I'm an android guy so I'm really at a loss.

I suspect you're not being patient. Start the update again and wait an hour without interrupting it.

No, I actually walked away for more than an hour lol.
Still shows "installing" but greyed out with no progress bar.
I have an iPad Pro 9.7 and it took the update like it always does.

Might be a good plan to do a restore, now.
You have iTunes on Windows, so do a backup, then restore.
You should be succesful then. The restore will (eventually) ask if you want to set up as new, or a restore from your backup.
Choose to restore from your backup.
Be patient.
Done...

If you connect the iPad to the windows laptop and open itunes then hold the top/power button and the home button for 30 seconds on the iPad iTunes will ask if you want to restore or update, hit update.

Even tried it with 15.0.1 and it did the same thing.
When I tried to connect it to my laptop and iTunes. When I held top power and home button, iTunes reacts and asked if I wanted to update but when I selected to update I got a message saying iTunes had to be updated to install 15.0.2 but iTunes was up to date. Go figure

Maybe there's an internal config problem on Apple's side and they'll correct the install image soon
