I have an iPad Pro, with the Apple Smart Keyboard Folio. From time to time when watching a YouTube video, the screen will go black, as if I pressed the screen to pause/forward, etcetera the video.

Any idea why this happens? I certainly am not resting my fingers on the keyboard. So, not sure what is causing that.

Thanks all...

Have you already tried restarting your device or checking for any YouTube app updates?

Update:
This issue happens via the YouTube app. And, this has been happening for a while, I am only now posting the question online.

So, even with device restarts, or iOS updates, it still happens. Weird really...

If re-installing the app itself doesn’t solve the issue and the issue only happens in YouTube, it might be worth to reach out to the developers.

With the keyboard disconnected, the issue still exists. At this rate, I may have to reset the iPad Pro to factory and restore as NEW (versus a backup).

Ugh, not looking forward to that...

Set it up as new and just try a fresh YT install. If the problem persists just restore your iPad and watch YT in your browser.
