My understanding is that iPad Pro currently only does screen mirroring so my 3440x1440 monitor would have thick black bars on the sides. Do we know if future versions of iPad OS will fix this and allow full use of your widescreen resolutions?

Thanks.

Really no way to know. Some apps support the wide screen when running in that mode but as for overall iOS, until some future announcement it's anybody's guess.

Until I see it working smoothly on an iPad I’ll unfortunately file this under nice to have - once somebody figures out a way to control, manipulate and arrange elements on that external screen.

That’s going to be hard to figure out.

Ok thanks for the replies. I didn't know if perhaps apple had made an announcement or something that I had just missed, but it sounds like not.
