The screen on my iPad Pro 12" (original series back from 2015) is cracked and my Applecare+ is getting ready to expire next week. Does anyone have any experience on whether they are replacing these with the newer version of the iPad Pro 12" with the updated specs or if you still get the original version?

I’d go in and check, go in and explain you need your iPad for work and you don’t have time to have one shipped, if you need to politely ask for a manager and explain to them. They either have some refurbs on hand of yours or they could make a 1 time exception best of luck. Just be polite don’t seem entitled and ask to see if their is anything they could do to get a replacement that day.

They will replace it with the same version of your iPad. On my old iPad Pro 12.9, I had it replaced under AC+ after a screen crack. They gave me a replacement device from the back of the Apple Store.
