Hi,

I've been using my 11" iPad Pro as a desktop screen for my Macbook, with Sidecar, and with the usb-c cable (mirrored display). It works very well. I'm considering buying an arm mount so I can position it in line with my eyesight, above the Macbook.

I have two questions though:
  1. It's not 120hz, is it? If not, why? Can't it be done?
  2. Is it possible to have the iPad as the only video output of the Macbook? The two available options — separate or mirrored — imply that your Macbook screen has to be on, even if you turn the brightness down to none. I wonder if this is causing the fan to fire sometimes (having the output go to two screens, even though the Macbook is "off").
Thank you
