Would anyone know why when using the iPad Pro (I have the M1 with 120hz or 'ProMotion') as a second monitor through Sidecar it is limited to 60hz?

Even when connected to the Macbook Thunderbolt-to-Thunderbolt with a Thunderbolt 4 cable, assuming this setup should be able to transmit the data to do 120hz?

So is this something that Apple limits on purpose to make it a feature of future iPads?

Or is there an actual hardware limitation somewhere?

I also tried other options such as Luna Display and Duet Display but they're also limited to 60hz.

Thank's for your input!

That's interesting. I've used this feature several times but never thought about the refresh rate. Are you sure it's even 60hz? I did some quick googling and a couple folks said it only seemed like 30hz. Maybe this is something Apple will enable down the line.
