So yesterday I upgraded my iCloud Storage, because my 1TB iPP could not do a backup. So yesterday, I manually had it doing a backup - after 8 hours it said I still had more than 1 day left for it to do a backup. That is ridiculous.

SO I am looking for a trusted app that I can manually do this to one of my hard drives via a Chromebook. Is there anyway to do this?

My internet is supposed to be 1GB, not that we ever see this speed anymore, especially wireless.
[doublepost=1543249955][/doublepost]Well I just went in and told it not to backup my FileExplorer - that is where I stored my 302 gb of files... whew now it should back it up. I have those files backed up on several external drives

Yeah...it would just be that initial backup that would take a long time. After that it will just be syncing the changes.

I don't know how common it still is, but when cloud backup services like Carbonite first started it was not unusual for internet service providers to throttle the bandwidth for those services in order to keep them from slowing down other types of traffic. I remember setting up Carbonite for someone about 6 or so years ago, and it took 3 or 4 days to perform the initial backup of her data. After that files would sync the fly and you'd hardly notice it happening. Download speeds are much faster of course, but I still set her up with an external disk backup solution.
