You can easily check the percentage of original capacity of your iPhone battery, but I notice there’s no Battery Health section in the Battery tab in the Settings.

How do you check the % original capcity of the iPad (Pro) battery?

I guess coconut battery on Mac could check the percentage, but I am not sure. In iOS, there is no built in feature to check the percentage.

Is there an app? (third party)

can coconut battery ln the mac check the ipad battery’s capacity?

IMazing works great but I wonder why no one has sued Apple over the lack of this information on iPad yet? When iPhone had batterygate lawsuits were flying all over the place! Please, someone in the US, sue Apple over this so we can get this info directly on the iPad.

I just checked out an iPad Pro 9.7. It was purchased new in August 2017. According to iMazing it is showing 91% battery health. Is this OK? I would imagine so, but I have no real idea.

I have a pro I bought in November 2016, it was kinda stupid actually since the more powerful gen 2 was released just months later but anyhow, and that iPad still has 90% battery health according to iMazing. Additionally, my iPad has been laying for several months last summer barely being used and charged about once a week only.

So yours seems just fine and normal with that tear on the battery.

This IMazing app is available in the App Store? Or, is it a web download? Never heard of it and I don’t use Macs!

Edit: Well, I just got on with Apple support and they ran a remote diagnostic on my 10.5”. Now note that I bought this unit in June or July or Aug 2017. She told me that the device is in “perfect health”, including the battery health. When I asked if it the battery life was over 90%, she said her readings showed it’s currently at 98%!! I have to admit, I am a bit surprised at that number. I did expect the battery life to be fine, but 98%???

You acquire it through a web download. It should be the top search result when you search for IMazing but you do need a Mac to use it.

Thanks. But that Apple support did that diagnostic for me. But the number she gave me has me wondering!! See my edit to my last post above.

Apple chat support did a diagnostic on my iPad Pro 10.5 that’s 4 months old from manufactured date and they told me it’s at 100%. Other than coconut battery, that seems to be the only alternate.

I hope my battery last a while. It gets cycled everyday. So, that is 28 cycles/charges overnight. Since I opened it up on March 4th 2019. My 1TB iPad Pro was manufactured 01/2019

See that’s the thing. My 10.5 is from 2017 and I have been using it consistently. So when Apple support told me the battery is at 98%, I was very taken aback, in a positive sense, though it removed a reason for me to “upgrade” to the 11”!!
