iPad Pro iPad Pro (gen 2 - 2019) available replacement stock?

I broke my iPad Pro’s screen and the replacement is $800. I’m wondering if they’ll hand me a newer model (gen 3?) or if there is still stock of 3 year old iPad Pros at Apple Stores for replacements.

Is there a site that tracks/speculates on replacement stock?

My iPhone 3G blew up 5 years after it was discontinued. Apple offered me an iPhone 5C because they didn’t have iPhone 3G replacements by then. How early does this stock run out?

There will be plenty of inventory of the older version. You won’t get a free upgrade.
