I am looking for a 3 ft or 6ft USB-C to USB-C cable for a Mac mini (Intel)so I can transfer files to my iPad Pro from my computer. I have bought 3 from Amazon all with the same problem. When I plug them into the iPad Pro the iPad does not pop up on the Mac mini. The cable are connected as it is charging but I cannot see it in finder. If I plug a USB-A cable in it pops up fine. Anyone know a specific cable they have that will work that I can order from Amazon.

Have you activated the display of external drives for the MacOS desktop? Does the iPad appear in the side bar of a Finder window? Which version of MacOS?

Yes. It always shows up when using a USB A cable. USBC - (Thunderbolt 40gps cable) and it doesn't. Big Sur 11.6

I can access an Intel Mini at the moment - I switched for similar reasons to a 2m USB C/USB C-cable from Apple after having tried a bunch of cheap cables from Amazon. The Apple one works under any scenario I used it (so far 🤓).
If you by any chance have access to (or no someone who can lent it to you) an external SSD like a Samsung T5 or T7 you can try the include short USB C-C-cable. If this works, Apple’s will too.
