hey everyone,

Is this the intended layout of the lock screen in iPad Pro 12.9"? No matter how many notifications I get they all stay in the left column. It seems like the intention is two columns based on the empty space to the right...

I guess and hope Notification Center and widgets on iPads aren't fully baked yet. And if this is their intended implementation, it's an abomination.

Yes, this is intended. In this case, if you are playing music, the album art/controls and notifications can appear side-by-side.
