I don't know if the blame is ipad os 18.2 or the lastet netflix app, but can't finish watch an episode when the device gets extremely hot.

This didn't happen with ipad os 17.

and i already perform two ipad os 18.2 clean installs.

Haven't seen this with the 13" M4 on 18.2 - I watch a good deal of Netflix on it.

Ok thanks for your reply.

However i've seen some people complaining about these same devices getting very hot when doing diverse activities.

Can you lower the resolution just to test if its the GPU/CPU that goes bananas if you are streaming 4K?

Doesn’t happen on my m4 11”

There have been rare occasions when my iPad just suddenly got very hot (like you can really feel the bottom heat up around the apple logo), like some process went haywire. A reset usually fixes the issue (by terminating the errant process, I imagine).

Is there any way to try streaming Netflix in the browser and see if your iPad similarly heats up? Could be an issue with the app and the only solution may be to hope that Netflix eventually updates their app accordingly.
