I have a MacBook Pro 14 inch that I bought with gift cards from Apple totally about 4g around 3 or 4 years ago. I think it has an M1 chip. The problem is; I never use it, ever.

I really like the fully spec’ed out iPad Pro 11 inch with that nano textured glass.

Would you hold on to the MacBook Pro or would you trade it in for the iPad?

Definitely thinking about doing it.

Sounds like the Mac is a paperweight - if you don't use it, no use keeping it no matter what else you might get instead. You'd just have to try the 11 iPad to see if you like it yourself - our opinions don't mean much.

It is a paperweight to say the least. I just don’t know what you CANT do with the iPad that you can do with a MacBook Pro

Sell your MBP M1 to fund your iPad Pro M4 (and magic keyboard if you want the best experience). If you need a Mac device later then get a Mac Mini M4 then your all sorted Apple eco system wise.

You don’t use your MBP at all. That means that you don’t do any mission critical / Mac taxing the CPU & RAM work. As such, the M4 iPad Pro is more than capable of meeting your needs.
Now that makes sense. Thank you Robert

You don't ever face times when you need to do something on an iPad that just can't be done or is better done on a Mac?
