iPad Pro not appearing as extended display on second user account

Hi,

please can someone help. I have a MBP 14 M2 and have the following

- two log in accounts on MBP
- both log-in accounts are associated with the same Apple ID
- iPad Pro M1 12.0 is signed in as the same Apple ID


However the extended display to iPad Pro is only available on one of the user accounts (not the other). can anyone help? is there a setting I need to change? just very odd.
