The other day I was shocked to get an alert notification on my iPP when I turned it on saying that my Pencil was down to 5% charge! I will periodically check the pull down status from my iPP when using my Pencil but guess I must have my settings configured to receive banner alerts.* I liked that my iPP knew that (haven't been drawing with it this last week). It's not like it takes long to charge but I appreciated the alert all the same and better than finding it completely discharged.

*just checked notifications under Settings and there isn't anything for the Pencil.

Yep. And as you mention it's not a setting that can be turned off.

Last time this happened to me I thought I'd discharge it completely and put Apple's "15 second charge = 30 minute use" claim to the test, which I was sceptical about because it seems to take quite a while to charge the Pencil fully.

It lasted for about 35 minutes of note taking after a 15 second charge, which is great!

Question - do you guys have really neat handwriting?

Considering Apple Pencil but my handwriting isn't that tidy.

Mine isn't overly need. Here's some trig notes at probably the highlight of my writing neatness
[doublepost=1456792450][/doublepost]Here's some random stats notes for a better hand writing example. I've noticed overall my writing is neater with the iPP vs on paper unless I'm in a rush and writing scribble loops then it's worse. Writing on my iPad is easier than on paper too.

My writing on paper is fairly neat, but gets sloppier with speed. I've only had the Pencil for a couple days so don't have a lot of decent notes to show as examples, but it's equally as neat as writing. The one cool thing that I noticed though is that it doesn't seem to get as sloppy as it does on paper when I'm writing faster. I'll see if that holds true when the newness wears off a bit and I'm maybe not paying super close attention. Now I can't wait for the next District Meeting so I can test that out! (that's a first, looking forward to a meeting)

I'm glad to know this. I was wondering how I would tell when it needed to be charged. Mine has yet to be charged, and I have had it a couple weeks. I don't use it every day though.

i have sloppy handwriting, but I tend to write a lot "prettier" on paper than I do using notability. A huge part of cleanliness is how much zoom is focussed. Notability seems to capture better accuracy of the pencil than when fully zoomed out.

Glad to hear someone testing the usage of the pencil after a 15 second charge.
