Ipad pro problem

My son was watching youtube on my 12.9 ipad pro. He came away from it for an hour then when I went to get it the screen was unresponsive. I thought maybe it died but remembered charging it the day before so doubted it was battery related. I got it to come on after a hard reset attempt and battery was 50%
The ipad is only 4 months old is this related to the 11.3 problems I've been hearing about? I'll not rush to apple store just yet but if it happens again I'll take it up

I had a few times (like 3 in a year and a half) a bug where the springboard crashes and the Apple logo shows up out of the blue on my 9.7 Pro on iOS 9.3.4. If it doesn't happen all the time, I would just ignore it.

Apple logo wouldn't show up by itself I definitely had to for it to hard reset but yes I'll probably take it up if it happens again
