Ipad pro Safari is so Slow

So for many many months now whenever i use safari sometimes it takes forever for the page to load...Facebook will just be blank for 10 seconds before it loads...At the same time ill open up firefox and load facebook instantly..

At first I used to think it was my new internet provider but it isnt, and that was at the start of the year....

I use a 12 inch ipad pro, updates do nothing....It is clearly safari

Add up all those wasted pauses and safari is taking up too much of my time.....waiting

Have you tried a different browser? If so, do you experience the same performance issues?
Cleaned cache, turned off features such as search engine suggestions, safari suggestions, preload top hit?
Do you experience the same on different networks?
What OS version are you running? Are you using VPN or any other features, add blockers or similar?
Are you using any extension? Are handoff enabled so it syncs to other devices?

Edit: I missed that you have tested Firefox and that seem to work.

Are you using Private Relay in Safari? i found that a lot of sites had problems with that and turned it off for better performance and stability.

"I use a 12 inch ipad pro, updates do nothing" - tells us nothing about which generation of iPad Pro you're using. For all we know you're using the 2015 ipad pro 12.9 inch which is severely underpowered by today's standard. More information would help.
