Dont you have to get AppleCare on the pencil as well for that to be covered?

No, apparently the ipad applecare covers it all:

Enjoy 2 years of peace of mind when you buy AppleCare+ for iPad.
AppleCare+ is an insurance product that provides up to two years of expert technical support1 and hardware coverage2 for iPad, Apple Pencil and Apple-branded iPad keyboard, including up to two incidents of accidental damage, each subject to an excess fee of £39 for iPad and £25 for Apple Pencil or Apple-branded iPad keyboard.3 Coverage begins on your AppleCare+ purchase date.

That’s one of the reasons I got it, just in case I drop my Apple Pencil.

It hurts to think about.

You can match up your departure time (as closely as possible) with UPS flights on flightaware.com. That’s what a lot of us “old timers” here on this thread did. You can filter the flights.
Yes, the exact URL is:

Flightaware.com/live/iphone

It shows ALL UPS Flights carrying Apple Products from Asia to the US.

Hehehe, I actually started doing that yesterday (after scouring previous pages of this thread) to see what flights were leaving Hong Kong. 😁 The next flight out of Anchorage will leave in ~4 hours and 15 minutes

Anything similar for Europe/UK?
Well, occasionally there are flights flying out from Anchorage to Cologne, Germany. I think from there it will be Distributed throughout Europe. All these flights to Germany are Boeing 747s, so they are carrying A LOT of stuff.

I think I saw a flight land in Cologne, Germany a few days before @sirgib Notified us that her iPad Pro had shipped in Europe.

mine wont prolly come tomorrow maybe on friday considering it hasnt reached louisville yet
Fridays are the days that iPads get delivered on this forum. So your best bet is Friday.

It should still work. You enter the city where the iPad is departing from, and the destination airport. You would then filter your flight according to the carrier (UPS, DHL, etc) You might give it a try.
