iPad Pro sold out nearly everywhere

Was planning to buy the 256GB of the iPad Pro this weekend (wifi), but it is sold out nearly everywhere....only 400KM from here is an Apple store who has either the 256, 512 or 1TB. The 64GB seems to be available, however that amount is a joke if you ask me (maybe only for heavy cloud users).

Leaving in Spain.

Also checked e.g. the Netherlands, and none of the 3 Apple stores had the 256GB version.

Did Apple underestimate the customers interest?

Ordering online takes nearly a month! :(

High-capacity ones seem to be in short supply in the UK as well. I guess they thought most people would go for the cheaper, lower-capacity ones?

United States here when I saw the Power in the new iPad Pro I knew it would sell out Until After Christmas Holidays.
Only way to buy was Pre-order until middle November or Show Up on 11-7
Now Good Luck looking for A Restock.

Right, you saw the power and the accompanying price increases and were immediately aware that a device that does the same things as before (just more conveniently and faster) would then sell out fast. LOL.

Plenty of iPad Pro available in USA for store pickup.
 
I used istocknow.com - picked up a space gray 256 11” in Gateshead on Thursday morning just walking in - they had been out the day before... I’d say it’s worth just checking that every day or setting up notifications as they do get the daily shipments of ‘some’ amount of stock for walk ins
 
Just ordered one. Can pick it up on Dec 4th.

Maybe Apple should increase the production for Europe. :)

Obviously, I am not that desperate that I am going to drive 400KM to the next Apple store, nor take a flight. The UK is also using another charging head and with Brexit around the corner...I would be too worried about guarantee. :D

My local Best Buy has a bunch in stock that I can go pick up today.

I am in Helsinki, Finland and got lucky as the apple official retailer here had received 2 ipad pro, one was the model I was eying on. Though no sign of the pencil anywhere.

The Pencil is in store uphere. But, if I would have ordered it with my iPad, Apple requires me to pick it up within 20 days....

I told the support agent that this doesn't make sense as I won't be able to use it without the iPad itself. No clue why I can't pick up the whole bundle once everything is available.

The EU has a 14 day return policy (which doesn't require a reason), which would be expired by the time my iPad is arriving, hence I wouldn't be able to return the Pencil if I don't like it. :)
 
My 11" 1 TB ordered on the morning of the keynote was supposed to arrive November 21-29. It is now in transit in ZhengZhou China, for delivery on Wednesday the 14th, 1 to 2 weeks early. So they are shipping ....
 
Seems like the bad reviews on software has nothing to do with the sales
So many thinks they can learn to draw on iPad Pro probably
I still think people should wait until iOS 13

Ya my Apple store estimate ordered on keynote afternoon was estimated 11/15 -11/20, received 11/9. Amazing how fast something moves from China to Alaska to my house
 
Am sure by Black Friday all stores will have a large stock of all Apple iPhones iPads and all the pens keyboards and everything else people are willing to buy.

And I’m sure that they’re correct. Higher end models usually only sell out simply because they produce far fewer of them.
 
According to iStocknow there‘s a big supply of most space grey wifi models over here in Germany, but cellular models are super tough to get.

I placed an in-store pickup order very late so it has a November 30 date on it, but I hope that they will surely have some stock at the store before that.
For example I checked that every day now the Berlin store got new 256gb spacegrey wifi 11“ models. But if you place an order at night when they’re sold out, it also states November 30th. But if you place the same order in the morning, you can pick it up immediately.
So how does this system predict anything??

For me the 64GB is plenty.

Depends on the product. The Xs and SR phones may be plentiful as Apple shows ~2 day delivery times right now. But Apple site iPad delivery times are now slipping into December. If Apple doesn't have them to sell until then I suspect it will be the same for stores.
