iPad Pro iPad Pro XDR: Any difference between 15th and 16th notches of brightness?

Hello, so I got this new iPP (returned for a cheaper one) and while testing the screen, the first thing I notice there’s no increase in brightness on the last 16th notch. Was it always like this? Is it the same for you? I’m on iPadOS 14.5 right now, want to check a few things before I update.

The problem persists on iPadOS 14.6. Anyone can test their iPP XDR? Of course the notches appear only when you use shortcuts on keyboard, but it behaves the same with the Control Centre slider.

When I increase brightness above that point, I don’t notice any difference.

What shortcut are you using on your magic keyboard?

I’m using Logi Combo Touch. I knew there wasn’t a dedicated key for brightness on MKB, but not even a shortcut?

Nope, nothing on my Magic Keyboard!

I found it has something to do with True Tone. With it off, I can see the change in brightness between 15th and 16th mark.
