My iPad Air 2 is out of warranty. If I needed a new battery or charging port for it, would Best Buy repair the iPad, or would they swap it out? Or would they do neither because it is out of warranty?

If they were to repair the iPad, how much would it cost?

It doesn't look like Best Buy publishes its specific repair prices like Apple does. You would probably be able to get an estimate and then decide if you want BB to do the work.

Even if they offer an estimate, It will probably be of high price due to the age of the device.

Ok. I have read that Apple does not repair iPads. I was hoping that Best Buy might.

I have no idea. Never had an iPad need repair.

The only problem with it is a charging issue. I have full access to everything on it, and have everything backed up.

It’s a good device. It just takes forever to get it to charge.

If you follow the link that Namara provided on iPad repair further up, about midway down the linked page you'll notice it mentions battery and power repair. It states that out-of-warranty cost is $99 for "all eligible iPad models"; my takeaway from that is apple will do a battery/power repair/replacement, but be prepared for what they consider "eligible".

Best Buy is an authorized Apple reseller and repair service. Their prices should be the same as Apple's for out of warranty battery replacement. I had my iPhone 7+ battery replaced at a local Best Buy and they used a genuine Apple battery and charged me the same as Apple would for an out of warranty battery replacement.
