Has anybody tried restoring the iPad as of yet?

Everytime I do so, I get stuck in recovery mode with an error 1014 - Unknown error. I tried iRecovery and it worked and I was happy I wouldn't have to return it for another one.

Thing is, if I restore again, from iTunes, it goes back to the same error message and enters the recovery mode loop. This has happened thrice now.

BTW, I tried everything from formatting my Macbook to fresh iTunes to different USB cables to numerous other Macs and PC's, before trying iRecovery. It comes up with the exact same error, even on XP and Vista laptops!

So, is there somebody here who has successfully 'Restored' their iPad to its original settings from the iTunes in their computers?

Or is this something which will be addressed with a future iTunes update?

P.S. Haven't jailbroken.

When I sold my Wifi before getting my 3G I successfully Reset the iPad back to factory settings without issue. When I bought my 3G I also successfully Restored my Wifi settings, apps and info without a hitch. No errors.

Did you reset from the iPad or via the Restore button in iTunes when you connected it to your sync'ing computer?

Has everybody's restore gone through successfully? I'm gonna have to have a word with Apple Asia and I just know they're gonna decline any knowledge of an international warranty :(
