We’re prepping for a road/camping trip in our Airstream. The plan is to use our new iPad Air 4 (256GB) as the main repository for lots of photos/videos shot with our iPhones and Canon Elph. We’ll download the day’s photos/videos using Photo Sync and a USB hub with an SD card reader. We’ll then copy the day’s photos/videos to a 1TB Samsung T7. I've tested this and it works pretty well.

We’d also like to make full backups of the iPad Air to the T7, BUT…
A - we don’t have a suitable MacBook and
B - during much of the trip we will be boon-docking in areas with no cell or internet service .

Is it possible to do full backups of the iPad Air (iPadOS 14.2) to the T7 without a Mac?

Thanks in Advance - GetRealBro

Nope. Perhaps a cheap Windows laptop might be an option? One of my co-workers bought a $300 from Walmart for telecommute and it's surprisingly not awful compared to the older Atom netbooks.

That was my thought as the easiest/cheapest path to something that will actually work.

Thanks for the info and suggestions.

FWIW I’m really not interested in buying yet another computer — especially not a Windows PC of any flavor.

We own a 2014 Mini that we use as a file server/test mule. So I’ll try backing up to the Mini, with the Pad Air as the monitor e.g. headless Mini with iPad Air running VNC Viewer. The main drawback of using the Mini is that it will need AC power :(
