Is it my imagination, or the iPad screen gets dirty more easily as the device gets older? I always take the utmost care of my screen, using only soft clothes and never using any chemical or alcohol based product. Only slightly humid with water and soft clothes. But not matter what, as time goes on, the screen gets dirty easier than when the device was new.

Does this mirror your experience?

I don ink the protective coating is to blame but these screens in general get dirty very quickly.

As devices get older though, the quicker it takes for the screens to get dirty.

I just use tempered glass screen protectors (with oleophobic coating) when the built-in coating on the device gets worn off enough to be annoying (when fingertips don't glide quite as smoothly even after cleaning).

That is also my experience. Once your iPad is 8-12 months old, say goodbye to that coating. When new, the screen can last 3-4 days without being disgusting; after that, it needs daily cleaning (if not more).

What glass screen protector would you recommend?

I often just get the cheapest ones. I think the one I'm using now is Omoton. $10-12 for a 3-pack (10.5"). Came with a plastic guide frame for installation.

Now there are some Nano Oleophobic Coating Liquids Protector that have come which can be used, which supposedly restore your Oleophobic Coating on your device. You can give it a try !
