Hey guys, so after upgrading to os 15 on my 12.9 iPad pro I got this issue on dark mood only at night. Anyone experiencing the same issue or my screen is messed up? I took the photos with my phone. The weird thing is when I take a screen shot from my ipad the photo comes ok without the white shade around.

That won’t be picked up with a screenshot because that is the display itself on your iPad glowing. What is the brightness set to? It’s been one of the minor complaints of the new mini LED displays on the 12.9 inch iPad. But that is very much exaggerated. The brighter the screen (setting) the more pronounced the issue.

And hope you have raised it as a bug with Apple?

You can say that again, had my mini led iPad since launch, don’t even notice the blooming. Loving the new display.

Also on iOS 15

If that’s what you’re really seeing in person, I’d take it back for a replacement, or try restoring your device, not seeing that on mine, loving the deep oled like blacks and extra contrast on mine.

I have been investigating the issue and its known as blooming screen issue. I will take it to the apple store and see what they can do

I’ll ask again, how bright have you got the screen set?
It only happens at night on a low screen brightness. If I raise the brightness it becomes less noticeable. During the day the problem doesn’t exist.

You have a faulty iPad, not seeing this on low brightness in a pitch black room.

That definitely does not make sense. Maybe get it swapped out as suggested above.
