Not sure I'm crazy about the screen resolution. It seems text is a little blurry. Book text seem a lot crisper on the iPhone. What does everyone else think?

If I remember correctly the iPhone has more pixels per inch so that could be an explination.

They dropped the pixel density because the graphical effects in the OS wouldn't be as smooth when the graphics chip is driving a higher resolution.

Any mention of cleartype fonts in the specs? There's more than one trick you need to know to go larger with text, Apple.

I think it looks pretty good. Crisp enough so far to me. I haven't noticed any blurriness. Maybe my eyes suck though...

I converted some of my eBooks and they look great in the iBooks app.

Check out some of the magazines. Popular Science looks incredible.

I was perfectly happy with the screen resolution on the demo unit I used at Best Buy. I tend to hold my smaller iPhone closer to my face, though, so maybe I just didn't notice the difference. I loved the look of iBooks; I read a little bit of one of the books on the display unit and the color pictured included on the pages looked fantastic.

The ppi is probably lower, but it still looks stunning. The colors are very vivid.
