So how much force would it take to break the screen? I carry it around in my backpack with my books etc... And I'm looking to shove it in my backpack while I backpack through Africa... But How much do you think it can take?:apple:

P.s- just a general question on the strength... Not necessarily pertaining to my backpacking trip.

Let's just say you don't want to drop it. Watching some of those YouTube "let's see how durable it is" videos, a few drops screen down and it cracks and ... so sad.

It should be fine in a backpack, but put a good case on it and it'll be even better. I could be completely wrong though, see what others say.

Scratch resistance according to tests is amazing. There is no need for a screen protector. Durability of the screen holding up to dropping it, not so good :). If you are going to be transporting it in your backpack I suggest looking into a thicker case like possibly the incase convertible one.
