iPad Screen Uniformity?

Hi all,

Noticed the screen on my iPad was either too cool on the left or too yellow on the right. Pulled up the test other MacRumors posters have used to test iMacs.

Attached are the results....those bars are supposed to be the same color

Is this an acceptable level of non-uniformity (i.e. does everyone else's screen look like this) or should I try for a swap?

what test did you use?

My 16g was yellow then bought a 32g the color was a beautiful white sending the 16g back.

Screen photos are very difficult to judge on the web. If what we see is representative of what you see on the device I'd definitely take it back. I'm not one who inspects with a microscope expecting mass produced items from China will be perfect either.

hmm yea....is annoying in real life now that I've noticed it

my only hesitation about taking it back is that I purchased it at Best Buy and I hate being "that guy" when it comes to returning items

So you are using tests to find something hardly noticeable as a reason to return your iPad for a new one? Do us all a favor and just get rid of it without replacing it. Seriously the nitpicking on this forum is getting pretty ridiculous

i think you misunderstood me....I noticed it from just browsing the web....the test was just a way for me to try and show the effect via a camera for feedback

Didn't mean to come across hostile, its just the nitpicking lately on this forum is getting pretty bad lately

What about nitpicking on other peoples questions? He had one so he asked. I'd ne nitpicky if I bought a 500$ device with a tainted screen that I was gonna notice everytime I used it.
