Hey All,

I'm just wondering if anyone has ordered an iPad from the Apple Online Store recently? I placed an order last night, and it says that it ships July 23rd. Is that pretty accurate usually? The reason I ask is, I may not be around during the actual delivery date.

Thanks,

well it seems that the odd one has turned up early but I am still waiting. Ordered 2nd July, still showing shipping 16th..
Hope that does come forward as hate the waiting.

Mine shipped July 8 instead of the July 12 Apple stated. It had a deliver date of July 19, but Fedex is showing a delivery date of July 14

My scheduled ship date was July 7th but I actually got it on the 7th! It still took longer than estimated 7-10 business days that Apple has on it's website.

Ordered mine on Jul 4 from Apple Canada.

Original ship/delivery dates were 20th and 27th. But it's now shipped and Fedex says will arrive by the 15th =]

Ordered the 32GB 3g model Sunday 7/11 afternoon and got confirmation it will ship 7/26 & deliver on 7/29

The camera connection kit is another story not scheduled to get it until the end of August but my wireless keyboard is already on the way. Really need the camera kit for a trip planned in early Aug. bummer.

J.W. What type of ipad did you order?

I ordered a 16gb wifi on July 2nd with scheduled ship of 19th and delivery of 22nd and i have still to see any change.

I wonder if types of Ipads ordered play a hand in shipping time.

Ordered on 6/28 and the estimated ship date was 7/13 with delivery on 7/15.

It ended up shipping on the 8th and was delivered today.

Congrats on your purchase! I'm absolutely loving mine so far.

I just spoke to a woman at Apple Customer Service. According to her, when we place our orders at Apple.com, they are assigned to a particular warehouse/facility right away depending on your geographic location.

This would make more sense then why "John" in California, "Joe" in New York and "Frank" in the UK might all order on the same day, but the orders still get fulfilled at different times.

I had called them to find out about changing address before shipment due to the fact that I will be on vacation when my Ipad is due to be delivered. She said that you can change the shipping address any time up till it is shipped and even once it is shipped, they can re-route the package but that will add 24 hours onto shipping time.

I figured I would share this info with everyone out there that like me is anxiously awaiting their new Ipad. I guess it's just back to sitting by the door and waiting for the fedex man to bring my new toy.

I got my iPad 4 days before scheduled delivery.:)

I ordered a 16GB wifi only (it's in Anchorage now!). I was surprised too that it's shipping this early because the guys at the Vancouver Apple Store told me the 16GB model is the most popular right now.

Honestly, enough with these questions. If you were walking into an actual store maybe you'd get an idea of what to expect. But every single iPad order is a unique event and they occur constantly all over the place. So even if 2 people order them simultaneously they won't have similar experiences. And certainly not if they were ordered weeks apart.
