Hi,

Got an e-mail from Apple on Saturday telling me my iPad has been shipped :D. However they have not told be what carrier it has been sent with, although they have sent a tracking number... When I go on the Apple Order Status site it only says 'Shipped'. Does anybody know why this is like this?
 
I'm in the UK. Mine shipped yesterday by UPS - The tracking number is not recognised yet though.
 
It should say the carrier in the shipment notification email, or at http://apple.com/orderstatus. Sometimes if you view your order status from an international order status page, it shows less information for some reason. apple.com/orderstatus is the U.S. order status page that should tell you pretty much everything you're going to hear, which is sometimes a little bit more than, say, the UK order status page (don't ask me why).

Alternatively, if you have a tracking number, Google it. Google knows the format of a number of shipping services and will give you a link to track it if they recognize the tracking number format.
 
Thanks everyone! :D After putting the code in on numerous sites I have now found it was shipped via TNT. Had to call them about the status, they said it should be in the Liverpool depot tomorrow!:p

how did you get it to work there are dozens of us trying to find out info like this, help???
 
Tracking

Guys - its not hard to find out your tracking info. Log in from the Apple US site, so simply go to Apple.com and sign in to check order status. My order then says shipped with TNT international and gives me a consignment number. You can stick this into the TNT tracking web page and it will say something like "please call" for a status update. The previous poster has done that and been given an update. Alternatively you can use the reference number given to you in your 'order shipped' email but this is the customer reference number so make sure you tick the correct box on the TNT page, assuming your order is shipping with TNT
