iPad shipping dates slipping on high demand.

Apple is now showing that the iPad's ordered today will ship by April 12th.

CNN is reporting that Apple has 'run out' of iPads and will be shipping those ordered today by the 12th.

Mine still shows delivery by the 3rd but at this point, who knows. I ordered mine late and won't be surprised if it ships late. Not that I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for it.

CNN is reporting that Apple has 'run out' of iPads and will be shipping those ordered today by the 12th.

According to what source has Apple "run out" of iPads? Oh I forgot, CNN doesn't need to source reports because they are CNN.

Sadly this is how many "news" organizations, including CNN, report real news too.

Just because Apple has cut off pre-orders and delayed new orders to the 12th doesn't mean Apple has run out of iPads. It only means they are slowing down shipments. But that can be due to a host of other reasons, like concentrating on the launch or changing over some production lines for 3G models. I didn't see/read the CNN report but I'm guessing they didn't explore reasons for the delay and just made an instant gut conclusion.
