Ipad Shipping Time

I just ordered, (I know a little late to the party, but better late than never) so when can I expect my Ipad to ship? What have others that ordered after pre_prder experienced? I am leaving for out of town on Sunday (18th) and hope to have it before then....

Thanks and I can not wait.....

when did you place the order? and what day did you actually received it?
also what state are you in?
i am planning to order as well, but not sure how long it would take.
I am in Cali
 
Girlfriend (who's in NH) is still waiting for mine, ordered on the 13th with "5-7 days" for shipping, I'm hoping it'll break out tomorrow (which will be business day number 5) the anticipation is killing me :D (more so for seeing my girlfriend than the iPad though! :p )

Then once she has it I'll have to wait out another 2 and a bit weeks before I fly out there and see her (hopefully the Ash Cloud would've gone by then, so planes are allowed to fly from the uk again!)
 
I ordered mine on the 11th and it still hasn't shipped. Today will be the 7th business day. It said prepared for shipment since Thursday but still hasn't shipped. It looks like some people are getting them pretty fast but it looks like mine is going to at the least take the full 7 days to ship.
 
Ordered it on the 12th and got a shipping notice overnight, with delivery by the 26th ... and since I also ordered the keyboard dock and case and they are sticking to schedule I wouldn't expect them to beat delivery on the iPad - it is very supply-constrained right now (as our international friends know too well)!
 
i ordered on the 9th and it just shipped today. it would be coming from china according to the tracking #.
 
Ordered mine on the 14th and it still hasn't shipped.... still has the "Not Yet Shipped" status... Sigh...
 
Update:

Ordered on the 14th and it's now the 20th and it's now prepared for shipment :) hurray. should get it by friday-ish.
 
I got my email today that says it has shipped they must be shipping them pretty fast once they actually ship because when I clicked the tracking number it said it will be delivered on the 22nd by 10:30 am

Yeah... Mine changed to Prepared for shipment too.. Hope it comes on Friday too... Do they still do Saturday shipment?

I believe they do but I think it's very select... I'm not sure if it's location (big cities) or the shipment option (like overnight or second day)

When I bought my iPad I also purchased the iPad Dock and that took 4 days (including the day I purchased it) to get here so if we go by the same time period they should be here on Friday... *crosses fingers* waiting another 2 days because of the weekend would suck. :p
 
To update, mine shipped today, hopefully my girlfriend will have it by friday - she's already told me she's going to play with it and get finger marks all over the screen (she calls it "checking to see if it works" so I'm not disappointed if it arrives damaged as she has time to get it replaced before I get there) :D I'm grateful for it really, even though not being the first person to play with my expensive toy makes the OCD in me scream "defiled!!" loudly, but I'll get over it!

17 days until I get to see my other half again (can't wait) and what a gift to take home with me too! :apple:
 
For those of you that got the "ships in 5-7 business days" window, when it did actually ship, did it ship Ground or Overnight? I ordered an iPad 32GB Wifi on April 16th and it stills says "not yet shipped" but that day I checked out, I never got an option to pay extra for overnight shipping, it was only Standard Shipping which I assume is Ground.

I just want to know for those who have gotten a Tracking #, if it shipped via UPS or FedEx and whether its going out Ground or Overnight.

I just got my email saying my iPad been shipped!!! Being shipped via FedEx... Doesn't say either just Direct Distribution Service. Going to arrive Friday just like Aaleck said...

I suspect you will get yours shipped on the 22nd-23rd.. +3 Days shipping time.

same here shipped last night for del. friday.
 
One more question. I ordered on the 16th as you know and right away from then I was charged the price of the iPad on my bank account. Today I looked at my bank account and Apple had removed the charge and now all the money is back in my account. My question is: Did Apple cancel my order? It still says "Not Yet Shipped" under my order status but I wonder why Apple would give the money back.
 
I ordered my Ipad on April 19th and it has not been shipped yet. I also ordered the ipad case which had a longer expected shipping time but that shipped yesterday.

when you order the ipad when you charge it to a debit or credit whatever cost of the ipad you bought from apple.. thats called a pending charge also known as a authorization charge.. then when the authorization comes off in 3-5 business days.. it will post as charge...

I figured that as well but my iPad shipped Thursday and I'm getting it by tomorrow so FedEx says and I still haven't seen the charge post to my account. That's a bit strange on Apple's part, because what if funds weren't in the account now as they were 3-5 days ago. They wouldn't be able to take out the proper amount. I got the money still in there but this could happen to other people possibly.
